Practical Problems with .ME Domains

The website for this blog is blog.jane.me. Both the blog -the subdomain- and jane -the domain- I chose. You can also choose from a number of Top Level Domain (TLD) to host your domain. Just having a .com is the way of the past. Here comes the new .me.

The problem with adopting a new Top Level Domain (TLD) as a permanent email address is that not everyone is aware of the new TLD. My guess it will take some complaints to change the web code to allow it as a valid email address.

This one is from Amazon:

It must be a default error message. The same message also appeared when I typed "valid@email.asdasdfasdfasdf."
