Now there is something you don't see everyday! Facebook - completely down!
I explicitly said not to install, so it installed it.

I often like to use CutePDF to create a pdf of something I would have printed out if I had a printer. It's a neat little tool.
After installing it today I was really disappointed. I explicitly said not to install AskTool Bar:

So it installed it anyways:

It's a usability nightmare. Why even give me the choice? Now I don't trust CutePDF anymore!

"Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application.
If you click Contiinue, the application will ignore this errore and attempt to
continue.
Value of '3621' is not valid for 'Value'. 'Value' should be between 'minimum' and 'maximum'.
Paraneter name: Value."
I think I was trying to view file history with git when I came up with this one. Useful, huh?

"Not enough storage is available to process the command."
I had just opened the webpage.....
The 'is' in the sentence makes it hard to read. Without it sounds better:
"Not enough storage available to process the command."
Though I haven't figured out what the problem was... nor what "storage" they are talking about.

The whole website is one big FAIL:

I think this is what you call an epic fail. Or is it genius because it's being passed around like hot cakes?

Google Voice

I decided to switch my voicemail to Google Voice to see what would happen...
It doesn't take much, input a code on your phone after singing up at the website:

Get a redundant message:

Have a friend call you with a message:

"Hey it's just want to go go black about that."
Hm, that didn't make much sense. Fail.
The actual message (way cool I can download it or embed in my blog!):
Actual message: "Hey it just went to Google Voice, how about that?"
Also note a previous post about Google having something in the works!

"We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users we can't process your request right now.
To continue searching, please type the characters you see below"
The irony is that I hadn't been doing anything in that window until this message, just left it open for a while.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error

I promise this wasn't even in code I wrote:

"Runtime Error!
Programs: C:\Users\P...
This application has request the Rumtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
Yeah, I didn't edit the path either. That's the actual message. Useful, huh?

Well, I'm glad it was only a 'Medium" error. Still not sure what to do to fix it.

"VSTestHost.exe has encoutered a user-defined breakpoint.
A breakpoint is an application indicates a program error. After this dialog is dismissed, the application will continue running, but it may be in an unstable state.
Apparently you can set break points for just debug mode, if you run it, it still breaks. This was found while running unit tests.

pPathName: MIMFPR_Q.DLL
pPrintProcessorName: MIMFPR_Q
The operation completed successfully."
Now Konica Minolta didn't think much about useability when they thought up this error message.
I also don't understand it. I got a failure message for something that succeeded?
The drivers aren't supported on Windows Vista. I also haven't tried to use the printer.
