More practical problems with having a .me TLD email address

More then two years ago I wrote about having problems with an email address with a .me TLD and it still seems to be the case as a lot of websites just assume if I have a .ME TLD then I don't reside in the U.S.

I still haven't been able to get my Walgreens.com account to use my .me address, but did recently make some headway with a Jewelry site:

"Thank you for your e-mail.

We have enabled your .me address on the site. Previously, we had it blocked because this extension typically applies to addresses from the country of Montenegro. Since we do not ship internationally, we had not cleared that extension. We have however updated our system and your e-mail address should work. If you have any problems or concerns please let us know.

We appreciate your continued interest in Limoges Jewelry. "
