Visual Studio: files disappeared?

Monday, March 29, 2010 at 4:06 PM
If your Visual Studio files disappear and the GUI looks wonky and no matter how many times you open and close your Visual Studio you get this:

There is infact a way to fix it:

"Your project current has no data sources associated with it. Add a new data source, then data-bind items by dragging from this window onto forms or existing controls. Add New Data Source..."

Go to Windows -> Rest Window Layout

I know I should even use IE (this one was from IE7), but sometimes, I just can't help it.

I signed into Google Apps with a domain that was attached to a domain I deleted from Google Apps. Who does that? Me, because I'm evil.

Runtime error: pure virtual function call

at 3:48 PM

Runtime Error!
Program C\Program Files\Altova\XMLSpy2008\XMLSpy.exe
- pure virtual function call

From the Microsoft Support Center:
"This error occurs when your application indirectly calls a pure virtual member function in a context where a call to the function is not valid. In most cases, the compiler detects this and reports the error when building the application. But depending on how your code is written, sometimes the problem is detected only at run-time.

The error occurs when you indirectly call a pure virtual function within the context of a call to the constructor or destructor of an abstract base class. This is illustrated in the sample code below, along with some more description. "

Sounds like I detected it at run-time and not compile-time!

Melinda Stolp became very popular after being on a popular TV show. I knew her in high school (and she acted in my senior project) so I thought I would friend her. I guess not, she has no room for me!

Looks like Google has something in the works

I signed up with Google Voice and have the messages translated to text since I rarely use my phone and spend most of my time online. I finally got enough of them to decide to make a label in Gmail and this is the error message I got:

"Sorry you can't create a label named "voicemails" (it's a reserved system label). Please try another name:"

I wonder what new feature they have on the docket.

Twitter API Error

at 1:50 PM

I changed my twitter username from zubterfuge to janemiceli and went to my family blog to see what would happen to my feed. I got an error message from the twitter api for a password and username. It really should have just decided that the username no longer worked (never had to input a password to import the feed items because its public on twitter) and just show "user not found."

Apparently Google Maps thinks I live on/in the lake.

Shortly thereafter, my phone didn't know what it was doing and stuck on this screen (though I could still take screenshots).
