Facebook - completely down

Friday, April 23, 2010 at 3:57 PM

Now there is something you don't see everyday! Facebook - completely down!

I explicitly said not to install, so it installed it.

at 3:55 PM
I often like to use CutePDF to create a pdf of something I would have printed out if I had a printer. It's a neat little tool.

After installing it today I was really disappointed. I explicitly said not to install AskTool Bar:

So it installed it anyways:

It's a usability nightmare. Why even give me the choice? Now I don't trust CutePDF anymore!

Git file history unhandled exception

Friday, April 16, 2010 at 8:13 PM

"Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application.
If you click Contiinue, the application will ignore this errore and attempt to

Value of '3621' is not valid for 'Value'. 'Value' should be between 'minimum' and 'maximum'.
Paraneter name: Value."

I think I was trying to view file history with git when I came up with this one. Useful, huh?

Too many Facebook tags in status

at 8:10 PM

"Too Many Tags
Your post contains too many tags. The maximum number of tags allowed is 6, but you have entered 9."
Another Facebook limit, can only tag 6 people in a status.

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?

Why can't you download the page?? It's right there!!!!!

"Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed. Restart now?"
*Shock and horror*

Another Quality Defect from Quality Center

at 8:06 PM

"Not enough storage is available to process the command."

I had just opened the webpage.....

The 'is' in the sentence makes it hard to read. Without it sounds better:
"Not enough storage available to process the command."

Though I haven't figured out what the problem was... nor what "storage" they are talking about.

Epic Fail: YvettesBridalFormal.com

at 7:26 PM
The whole website is one big FAIL:

I think this is what you call an epic fail. Or is it genius because it's being passed around like hot cakes?

Google Voice

at 6:53 PM
I decided to switch my voicemail to Google Voice to see what would happen...

It doesn't take much, input a code on your phone after singing up at the website:

Get a redundant message:

Have a friend call you with a message:

"Hey it's just want to go go black about that."

Hm, that didn't make much sense. Fail.

The actual message (way cool I can download it or embed in my blog!):

Actual message: "Hey it just went to Google Voice, how about that?"

Also note a previous post about Google having something in the works!

xbox 360 expired content

at 6:36 PM
"The license for this video has expired"
We were watch a movie when we got this in the middle of the movie. They don't even let you finish it!!
Can't you just charge me an hour late fee so I can finish it??

Safari on iphone -cannot open page

"Safari cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet."
The page isn't connect to the internet? Oh, you mean my phone. Well make the message a little darker then I could SEE it!!

The captcha says "layoff probably"

Google: We're sorry, fill out a captcha

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 2:45 PM

"We're sorry...
... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users we can't process your request right now.

To continue searching, please type the characters you see below"

The irony is that I hadn't been doing anything in that window until this message, just left it open for a while.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error

at 2:39 PM
I promise this wasn't even in code I wrote:

"Runtime Error!
Programs: C:\Users\P...
This application has request the Rumtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Yeah, I didn't edit the path either. That's the actual message. Useful, huh?

Iso Commander Error

at 2:35 PM

"Unrecognized ASPI exception:
0x003 Medium error
0x0 +No additional sense information"

Well, I'm glad it was only a 'Medium" error. Still not sure what to do to fix it.
"No additional sense information" Classic.

Can't Combine Google Accounts

at 2:33 PM

"You can not associate a Gmail address with your Google Account."

Well, why not, Google?

Google forgot an image?

at 2:30 PM

Sure enough, it's missing:

Visual Studio Test Host

at 2:13 PM

"VSTestHost.exe has encoutered a user-defined breakpoint.
A breakpoint is an application indicates a program error. After this dialog is dismissed, the application will continue running, but it may be in an unstable state.

Apparently you can set break points for just debug mode, if you run it, it still breaks. This was found while running unit tests.

konica minolta error adding to vista

at 2:03 PM
"AddPrintProcessor Failed!
pPrintProcessorName: MIMFPR_Q
The operation completed successfully."

Now Konica Minolta didn't think much about useability when they thought up this error message.
I also don't understand it. I got a failure message for something that succeeded?

The drivers aren't supported on Windows Vista. I also haven't tried to use the printer.
